Inauguration of Video Conferencing Facility In Distt. Kupwara

In a ceremonious atmosphere the Honorable chief minister of J&K Jenab Mufti Mohd. Syeed has inaugurated at 11 am. On the 3^rd of Nov. 2004,(the NIC videoconferencing centre of Distt. Kupwara of the state .With this facility Distt. Kupwara is now connected through VC with the State civil secret at Jammu and Srinagar .Kupwara is only the Second Distt.  Of the state after Leh, to be connected with the state civil secretariat.

Municipality Plan for Kupwara Town

In District Kupwara 35 lacs has been invested up to Nov. out of 70 lacs which has been sanctioned for this years under municipality for Kupwara town.

District Plan Review

An amount of Rs. 25.58 core against an allocation of Rs. 57.88 cores has been utilized on the implementation of various development and welfare programme in Distt.  Kupwara during the last eight months of the current fiscal year, an official spokesman said.

Inauguration Of CIC centers in Distt. Kupwara

In Distt. Kupwara four Community Information centers (CIC) in four blocks namely Trehgam, Langate, Wavoora, Rajwar has been inaugurated by the DDC Kupwara Jenab Ab. Majid Khandy.

These CIC centers are connected with the World Wide Web (WWW) through VSAT technology. These centers are established by National Informatics Center (NIC) New Delhi.

Lunching of National Food for Work Programme In District Kupwara

In order to launch the scheme, “NATIONAL FOOD FOR WORK PROGRAMME” (Centrally Sponsored Scheme) successfully, meeting of all Block Development Officers of  Distt. Kupwara was held today under the chairmanship of DDC Kupwara. The scheme has been approved in the Distt. For an amount of Rs 525 Lacs (Cash + Kind). The main thrust will be given on water conservation /Communication etc. works .The Perspective plan was discussed in detail 4 lac souls will be benefited and 7.80 lacs man days will be generated under this programme.

Handwara Councilors administered oath.

The councilors Ab. Ahad Bhat & Masroor Ahmad Banday recently elected for municipal committee Handwara were administered oath by Asstt. Comm. Revenue Handwara. The district Development Commissioner Kupwara Ab Majid Khandy & Prominent citizens were present on this occasion.
